四六级&专四专八

四六级是面向非英语专业本科生及包括英语专业在内的大学生开设的，专四专八是针对英语专业本科在校生开设的。四六级难度与专四专八难度也不同，英语四级难度最低，英语六级和专四难度相近，专八难度最高。

CET-4 and CET-6 are for non-English majors, and TEM4 and TEM8are for English majors. English majors can also take CET-4 or CET-6, but non-English majors can’t take TEM4or TEM8.

四六级是非英语专业的大学生考的，专四专八是英语专业的学生考的。英语专业的学生也可以考普通的四六级，但非英语专业的学生不可以考专四专八。

从难度上看：

CET-4 is the simplest, requiring the vocabulary of about 4500. The second is CET-6, which requires a vocabulary of about 6000, and the difficulty is close to TEM4. The most difficult is TEM8, which requires a vocabulary of 8000 to 10000.

大学英语四级最简单，词汇量要求4500左右。其次是大学英语六级，词汇量要求6000左右，难度接近于专业四级。最难的是专八，词汇量要求8千到1万。

专四专八用处：

专四考试的目的是全面检查已学完英语专业四级课程的学生是否达到教学大纲所规定的各项要求，考核学生运用各项基本技能的能力以及学生对语法结构和词语用法的掌握程度，既测试学生的综合能力，也测试学生的单项技能。

专八考试，社会上对大学英语的四六级证书的承认相对广泛，不过，英语专业四级和八级证书的“震慑力”比四六级高出一截，这一点，也是一个不争的事实。在证明英语能力证书方面，国内考试范围之内，最高的级别证书当属专业八级。

大小托福&雅思01TOEFL Introduction

托福考试是美国开发的一种学术英语考试。托福测试考察了学生的四种听、说、读、写4个技能，以反映他们在学术语言任务环境中的真正的学术语言能力，并可应用于本科和研究生院校的申请。

02TOEFL Junior Introduction

小托福考试指的是ETS美国教育考试服务中心专为全球11-17岁中小学生开发的权威英语能力测试。除申请美国高中之外，小托福考试另一个很重要的功能，是作为英语教学的测评工具。

03IELTS Introduction

国际英语测试系统简称雅思重庆英语口语培训，雅思是国际著名的标准化英语水平考试之一。雅思考试成立于1989年，由英国文化教育理事会、剑桥大学考试委员会和澳大利亚教育国际开发的。

大小托福区别：

The difference between the TOEFL Junior and the TOEFL test is that the test time is shorter, and the speaking and writing parts are not mandatory, while the TOEFL test time may be as long as 3-4 hours.

小托福和托福考试的区别，一个方面是考试时间更短，另外不考读写内容，而托福考试时间可能长达3-4个小时。

The TOEFL Junior is mainly for junior high school students under the age of 17 as the basis for them to apply for studying in American high schools. TOEFL is more for college admission applications.

小托福主要面向17岁以下的初中生，作为他们申请美国高中的留学依据。而托福更多是面向大学入学申请。

托福和雅思区别：

Different scope of application:

IELTS is an international English proficiency test organized by the British Council and the local examination Association of Cambridge University. As the host is the UK, it is more suitable for British universities. TOEFL is sponsored by the United States, so it is more suitable for universities in the United States and Canada.

适用范围不同：

雅思是英国文化委员会和剑桥大学地方考试协会组织的一项国际英语水平测试。由于主办方是英国，因此更适合英国大学。托福是由美国赞助的，因此更适合在美国和加拿大这些大学。

Different examination forms:

TOEFL has been reformed and the traditional paper examination mode has been cancelled. Whether writing, listening, reading or speaking, TOEFL is completed on computer. IELTS test is still divided into two forms: written test and interview test. They are separated.

考试形式不同：

The test scores are different:

IELTS is a 9-point system, that is, the full score is nine. Listening comprehension, reading, speaking and writing are all 9 points respectively, and the average score after synthesizing the four scores is the total score. The full score of TOEFL is 120, and the score of each part is 30. The combined scores of these individual parts arethe final score.

考试的分数不同：

雅思是九分制，也就是说满分是九分。听力理解、阅读、口语和写作都是每项是九分，综合四项成绩后的平均分为总分。托福成绩满分是是20分，听力理解和写作的部分是30分，这些单项的成绩为总分。

SSAT&SAT&GRE

SSAT, SAT and GRE are local entrance examinations in the United States (similar to high school entrance examination and postgraduate entrance examination). SSAT is set up for students who go to high school in the United States; SAT is for high school students who go to the United States; GRE is for undergraduate students in the United States.

SSAT,SAT,GRE，是美国当地的入学考试（类似中考高考，考研），其中SSAT是去美国读高中的学生要参加的；SAT，是去美国读大学本科的学生要参加的；而GRE，是去美国读硕士研究生要参加的。

01SSAT Introduction

SSAT，全称Secondary School Admission Test，中文名称为美国中学入学考试，适用于美国、加拿大私立中学的入学，是申请者所必须具备的一个考试成绩。主要测量学生的数学、语文以及阅读理解能力，考察考生的逻辑思维和发展潜力。

For students of different ages, SSAT is divided into upper level and lower level. The former is for students in grades 8-11 and the latter is for students in grades 5-7.

针对不同年龄的学生，SSAT考试分为高级(upper level)和低级(lower level)，前者针对目前就读8-11年级的学生，后者针对目前就读5-7年级的学生。

02SAT Introduction

SAT为“Scholastic Assessment Test”的缩写重庆英语口语培训，是美国高中生进入美国大学所必须参加的考试，其重要性相当于中国的高考，也是世界各国高中生申请进入美国大学本科学习能否被录取、以及能否得到奖学金的重要参考。

In March 2005, the SAT test implemented a major reform and evolved into the current “New SAT” test. The new SAT is divided into two parts, including SAT I – reasoning test and SAT II – subject tests in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and other subjects. SAT scores are valid for 2 years.

2005年3月，SAT考试实行了重大改革，演变为目前的“New SAT”考试。New SAT考试分为两部分，包括SAT I——推理测验（Reasoning Test）和数学、物理、化学、生物等科目的SAT Ⅱ——专项测验（Subject Tests）。SAT考试成绩的有效期为2年。

03GREIntroduction

GRE考试不但是美国研究生院选拔培养高级研究人才的重要依据，同时也是各大学研究生院决定是否向申请人提供奖学金资助的重要参考条件之一。

GRE test is divided into two categories:

ACT（American College Test）考试与SAT考试均被称为“美国高考”，它们既是美国大学的入学条件之一，又是大学发放奖学金的主要依据之一及对学生综合能力的测试标准。这个考试也被很多美国大学承认，但其中中部和西部的院校居多。和SAT不同，ACT考试更像一种学科考试，它更强调考生对课程知识的掌握，同时也考虑到了对考生独立思考和判断能力的测试。从难度上看，ACT考试比SAT更容易一些，尤其对中国的考生来说，选择ACT考试可能更容易在短期内获得相对满意的成绩。
