There is a saying that goes "It is time to harvest hawthorn during Cold Dew." Extracts of the berries have long been used in herbal medicine.

The antioxidants in hawthorn are thought to boost heart health by strengthening blood vessels and stimulating blood flow.

During “Cold Dew” period, the most obvious climate feature is “dry”. When it’s dry, sweat often evaporate very quickly and people can feel skin stretched, wrinkle increased, being thirsty, and often cough. Eating sesame, nut, tremella, radish, tomato, lotus root, milk and lily can help nourishing Yin Qi and moistening dryness. It’s also very good to eat some fruits such as snow pear, banana, Hami melon, apple and grape.
